De zogenoemde \u201chotel-man\u201d was een relatief nieuwe en gerespecteerd beroepsgroep in een snelgroeiende industrie. Hij trouwde en kreeg twee kinderen. Maar het was het waard. Robotayaki, een van de drie specialiteiten, wordt gegrild met houtskool. Op een hete gril bereidt een speciaal getrainde kok voor de ogen van de gasten het eten. Met zijn oudste zoon Makoto als sous-chef is Hosokawa klaar voor de toekomst.
